Hey Yukon...What's your recreation?

Pulling up to a stop light the other day, I looked over and saw a bunch of familiar friendly faces smiling back at me, lookin’ photo shoot fresh…Perhaps you’ve seen something similar in the past few weeks?
That’s because the Lotteries Yukon Recreation Campaign we worked on is out in full force, including a bus wrap, featuring just a few of our awesome models!

Thanks to Sue Gleason for the photo of the bus!

There’s nothing better than the feeling of seeing a project, which was a year in the making, come together and be released out into the wild. We were lucky enough to work with the amazing Amanda Leslie of Mosaic Communications on this campaign, the goal being to both explore and celebrate the wide variety of recreations that Yukoners do, from across the Territory, and at every age.

What we always loved about this concept was how inclusive it was of the variety of different recreations that we’re all so lucky to have access to here in Yukon. From berry picking and hiking, to lawn bowling and pickle ball, and everything in between, we got to work with real Yukoners, out experiencing their communities throughout every season.

It was one of those feel-good projects, as no matter the weather, people were getting out and doing activities that were good for their bodies and their minds-staying active and connected to others.
Shout out to all of the awesome people we met and worked with along the way-you’re all pros both in front of the camera, and out doing what you do best!

Klondike Kettle Corn

One of our favourite projects so far this year was getting to work with Klondike Kettle Corn to develop some new imagery for their upcoming website re-launch and marketing materials!

Anyone who follows the work we do, knows we love working with small businesses and entrepreneurs, and getting to know Katie and her family was no exception. We got to do some lifestyle images with them, and they even braved the -40 weather we happened to get that weekend so that we could get some authentic Yukon Outdoor lifestyle shots! They were total pros the whole time. Our computer/tether system, however of course decided it didn’t want to work in -40, so we just did without….

Then, we went into a new realm that we haven’t tried before…food photography! For this set, we partnered up with Tara Kolla, a local stylist, who came to the GBP studio and worked with us for the day. We were so happy with how these turned out…and we can also confirm these flavours do in fact taste as good as they look. There was a LOT of taste testing going down…And our computer/tether system enjoyed this temperature a lot more.

New websites need a new look!

We often get calls from clients when they're about to make a change in their marketing or promotion.

Whether they're starting a new business, doing a re-brand, or just starting off a new year, it's often a great time to re-visit their marketing materials and ensure they're as up to date and fresh as they need to be!

In one of our most recent shoots, our client Sarah contacted us as she was about to launch a new website for her lifestyle business, and wanted some more current photos to help populate the site.

We wanted to ensure she had a variety of shots that feature her, as the lead consultant, and really focus on a fresh, healthy, and light feel as she works with helping people make lifestyle changes to help them deal with chronic pain.

The awesome team at the Birch and Bear helped us out by providing a great location for the indoor and patio shots, and then the Yukon River made for the perfect backdrop for some more casual outdoor looks.

Check them out!
